Lubricants The Best Sex Enhancers
So why do people use lubrication? 75% of people questioned in the last Durex survey believed that lubricants are predominately used to combat vaginal dryness; however there are many other benefits to introducing them to your sex play.
By choosing the right lube for the right job you could:
1. Combat vaginal dryness and discomfort during lovemaking - which can not only cause pain and discomfort but also irritation and tears to the vaginal tissue,
2. Help protect against sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) by reducing risks of a condom splitting through friction,
3. Explore anal sex
4. Make oral sex more pleasurable for both of you
5. Change the way that sex can feel
6. Enhance the experience of using a sex toy or during masturbation
7. Experiment with sex in different places (see the end of the article for a couple of our favourite suggestions!)
8. Add variety to your routine.

YOU CHOOSE
So with the vast array of possible products on the market how do you choose which one is right for you?
Personal lubricants fall into two main categories – water based and silicone based.
|

 |
| |
 Water Based
The main features of a water based lubricant are:
1. More widely available,
2. Available in different varieties – i.e. warming and flavoured,
3. Less expensive than silicone,
4. Can be used with silicone sex toys,
5. Condom –friendly.
The biggest disadvantage is because they are water based; they dry up quicker than their silicone counterparts. Our best selling lubricant, ID Glide is one of the best in this category as it is ultra long lasting and when it does dry it doesn’t leave a sticky residue on the skin. ID Sensation is a lubricant which warms on contact giving an enhanced sensation to the skin. This can be used on any area of the body for a twist to your foreplay and also in conjunction with any other water based lube.
ID Juicy Lubes are also great for both foreplay and some deliciously different oral sex. With six great flavours to choose from you can experiment with your own ‘Cock-tail’!

 Silicone Based
The main features of a silicone based lubricant are:
1. Because they don’t contain water, they don’t dry out like the water based lubes, so they stay slippery for longer,
2. Great for massage and can be used underwater,
3. More expensive but a little bit goes a long way,
4. Condom –friendly. For the past twenty years, silicone has been the lubrication supplied on nearly all lubricated condoms,
5. Have a thicker more velvety feel, 6. Great for anal sex and masturbation.
Silicone based lubricants however should never be used in conjunction with silicone based toys. ID Millenium is our preferred choice in this category.

AND FINALLY...
Our hot scenarios for using lubricant to add some interest to your sex life:

 |
| |
 Flavoured Lubricant
For Him:
Squeeze ID Juicy Lube Bubblegum Blast onto her love button and write out “I love you” with your tongue. You’ll find it helps to vary your speeds and pressures. You could play a game where she tries to work out what you are spelling. Just remember not to chew!
For Her:
Use this delicious blend of ID Juicy Lube Strawberry Kiwi for a fruity twist on your oral play with a little bit going on “down under”! Ask your man to get on all fours and allow ID Strawberry Kiwi to trickle luxuriously down the channel between his cheeks and further: Rather than pay attention to his front fruits, start your tongue tactics working on the area between his berries and back door. This often neglected area is packed full of sensitive nerve endings and the results may surprise you both!

 Warming Lubricant
Go out for a sexy meal with a difference. Make sure you select a candlelit corner and are not seated directly opposite each other. Throw a coin to see who gets to go first then take it in turns to give each a hand job under the table in between courses using a little warming lubricant squeezed onto the tips of your fingers. Make sure you’re both wearing something loose for easy access and leave the shouting out until you get home – this isn’t a scene from When Harry Met Sally!
Don’t forget to wash your hands after your turn at ‘giving’ – you are eating after all!

 Silicone Lubricant
Send your partner’s orgasm through the roof by massaging his prostate gland during foreplay. Use plenty of lubricant whilst giving him a hand job and then when he’s suitably slippery, insert either a finger or some anal beads into his rectum.
If false nails are your style, better stick to the anal beads otherwise he’ll get a shock of a completely different kind!
